The Sunday’s during this season of Lent are not “of Lent” but “in Lent.” So the Sunday’s retain an Easter tone and may be less solemn than the midweek services that congregations typically offer. The observances of Lent are concrete reminders of the greater solemnity of this season, yet Lutherans emphasize the the Gospel of Christ as center to this penitential season.
St. Paul’s mid-week Lenten schedule services are on Thursdays at 12:00 noon with a soup and sandwich before service followed with a short devotion. Dates for these services are: March 13; March 27; and April 10.
We will be having Good Friday service on May 18 at 1:30.
Easter sunrise service at St. Paul’s will be at 7:00 followed with a breakfast at 8:00.
